Welcome to the Journey Women Podcast. I'm your host, Hunter Beelis. Life's a journey we were

0:08.8

never meant to walk alone. We all need friends along the way. On the Journey Women Podcast, we'll

0:13.7

chat with mentors about gracefully navigating the seasons and challenges we face on our journeys

0:18.8

to glorify God. We are back with another episode in our series, keeping it local, leaning into

0:26.1

discipleship in your local context. The heart behind this series is to encourage us all to seek

0:32.0

out conversations like we have on Journey Women every week with women who we are doing life with wherever

0:38.0

we are. This episode is really special. It's with my pastor's wife, Dory Willemann. As you'll

0:44.7

hear, Dory put together this team of women in my local church who are coming alongside us and the

work that the Lord has set before us here at Journey Women by praying for us and offering their

and the really awesome part is we get to share some of them with you in the cutlet weeks. We're

1:00.7

going to be talking with them about how to be disciples, peer to peer discipleship, and the nuts and

1:05.6

bolts of discipleship. But today, we're talking about what it's like to be the mentor in another

1:10.8

woman's life. Listen to what Dory said. All of life is about who you know and who you know is the

1:16.8

Lord and so you learn to listen for the place in which someone is trusting or not trusting in the

1:22.9

work of the gospel. I think we can laser focus on that and keep that central always looking through

1:28.2

that lens. Like, where do you hear gospel faith and where do you hear the need for encouragement to

1:35.7

trust in that? As you can hear, Dory is passionate about cheering on the work of the gospel in the

1:41.6

lives of others. In fact, she gets so passionate that you can even hear her pounding on the table a

couple of times in the best of ways. We can't wait to share this conversation with you all, but you

1:52.0

know we want to tell you about the sponsors who so graciously help us keep this content free for

your listening pleasure. The Christian Standard Bible, Pinecove, and PrepDish. I know you all know how

busy life can get and your time is so precious. PrepDish has a solution to help make the most of
