The missing body is that of his business partner, Robert Vendrick.

Don't you think that if he was dead though, that there'd be a body?

We know that Mr. Vendrick was murdered.

We know that Mr. Schocky murdered him.

It was very, very obvious that there was foul play.

Three months earlier, Shockey and Vendrick leave nearby Dana Point Harbor on a 23-foot sailboat named The Odyssey, but only Gary Shockey returns.
