And yes, it has been 30 seconds since I did the cold open and yes we have had breaking news

since then the Blackhawks have assigned Samarrenzel and Landon Slaggart to the Rockford

ice hogs no corresponding moves announced yet they'll have practice tomorrow at 1130

that only leaves them six defensemen that's right so maybe a defenseman's coming up. Does Rockford play tonight? I'll check. Let's check that. Maybe Nick Folino is close to returning. There's a lot of things we will find out tomorrow at practice at 1130 or hopefully before. But before we get to mailbag, obviously this is going to take precedent. Slaggart has not been in the lineup very often when he has been.

The minutes haven't been big.

And Samarenzel's minutes have been going down.

He has been struggling.

He has been fighting a little bit.

And as we said in the postgame show last night, not a surprise.

And I don't want to say I welcome it. That sounds a little

too harsh. But I think it might be the right move for Samaranzel right now. It's a good

opportunity for him to write the ship. I think that would be for him. I think that would be a

really good opportunity for him to go and

work his way back up to the Sam Renzel that I think started the season with some confidence.
