| 0:04.3 | Just help us down. one and a half seconds. It's done wonders for us by me pushing this. So this eventually turned |
| 0:20.8 | to a bit at this point, Nick. Like, I'm going to be asking for this like button a lot. Just help us down. Sure, that won't get annoying. Oh, it's going to get annoying. It's already annoying. But hit that light button, and I can't wait to see the comments complaining about this, even though only takes one and a half seconds of your time. And it's nice. And just do a nice thing for us. We'll do a nice thing for you, which is deliver more mailbag content with your questions answered. So let's get right into it, Nick, with Green Machine 99, who says, what do you think of the idea of signing Dak Prescott and assuming we have a high, he says, assuming we have a high draft pick in the draft. So, for example, we have a bad year. We get a blue chip draft pick. We can get Will Johnson, the amazing corner, and signed Dak Prescott. If they did that, where would that put them in the NFC? It's hard to say. I have no idea how the NFC is going to look at that point. I think bringing in a Dak Prescott, though, would be excellent because he's a real, I would say, above average good starting quarterback who has kind of has this reputation of being a joker, if we're going to be a real, which is a valid reputation at this point because he hasn't really won much in the NFL. But still, I believe in his skill set, and I would love to get a blue chipper. But if there's a bunch of quarterbacks as well in this draft class and the Giants are |
| 1:30.6 | picking, let's say, fourth or something and the Giants have the opportunity to get that |
| 1:33.9 | quarterback, I'd like to pursue that. |
| 1:36.5 | But there's so much conjecture here because we have no idea what the situation is. |
| 1:43.5 | You know, so, but I'm open to anything this far out. |
| 1:47.1 | It's a great question. |
| 1:48.2 | I think Green Machine, Nick's right. |
| 1:49.9 | It depends, I think, on our evaluation of the quarterback class because if we have that |
| 1:53.2 | high draft pick and we're in position to get a quarterback that we believe in Nick and I, |
| 1:56.8 | we're going to choose that route instead because the signing Dak Prescott route means |
| 2:00.7 | you're going to pay him probably the top the signing Dak Prescott route means you're |
| 2:00.8 | going to pay him probably the top five, if not the highest paid quarterback contract. |
| 2:05.2 | That's just how things work. |
| 2:06.2 | It'll probably be top three, maybe top five. |
| 2:08.8 | With that said, I'm not closed book to it because I think in general, he's a very, very |
| 2:15.7 | underrated quarterback in the NFL by the majority of fans because |
| 2:18.3 | some interceptions, he's thrown at bad times and because of no playoff success, which |
| 2:22.1 | hasn't always been his fault. But what he brings to the table is oftentimes not really |
| 2:26.6 | realize unless you're watching the tape. And it's anticipatory throwing. It's recognition |
| 2:31.1 | of defense's rotation post snap, recognition pre-snap, getting the ball out of his hands, putting it in spots, leading it. There's a reason he throws for 4,500 and 4,000, and 35 touchdowns. Despite having one amazing receiver and not that much else. I know he has a good old line, but it's because of anticipatory throwing. I promise you it's because of that. And that doesn't make him perfect. He throws picks when he shouldn't. He's been bad and bad spots. So I'm not all in on him by any means. But at this stage of it, I'm open to it. Let's just say that. I'm not all in. And I know you're not either, but I'm open to getting what I would consider an obvious upgrade at the quarterback position. Even though it would be costly, it's not like they're not paying for quarterback as is. They've just paid big for quarterback the last two years. It would |
