Summary

Arjuna Abducts Subhadra

This is the thirteenth episode of the stories of Mahabharata. We have progressed quite a bit, but we have a long way to go. In this episode we hear couple of fascinating stories. In the first story, Arjuna rescues the five Apsaras from their curse. And in the second story, Ajuna falls in love with Krishna's sister Subhadra, and at Krishna's suggestion, he forcefully abducts Subhadra and finally marries her. 0:27.0	In the previous episode, we learned that the Pandavas established their kingdom in Kandva with Indra Prestha as their capital.
0:38.5	We also heard how Arjuna had to go on a self-imposed exile to honor the code of conduct they had set up regarding
0:47.8	Traopadi's companionship. The From Manipur, Arjuna reached the land of the five holy lakes, Agustia, Sowbadria, Paulum, Karandam and Baradwaaj.
1:17.9	But he was puzzled to see that no pilgrims were bathing in the holy waters. When he inquired, the pilgrim said,
1:25.4	Oh, these waters are infested with five ferocious crocodiles. Anybody who dared to
1:31.0	step into the water was sure to dies in the jaws of those monsters.
1:37.0	Hearing this,
1:39.0	Erjuna took off his clothes and stepped into the waters of the lake, Sobhatria.
1:44.4	The pilgrim screamed in fear and pleaded him to come back.
1:48.4	But Hachuna didn't listen.
1:50.9	The moment he took a dip, a huge crocodile pounce stunning.
1:55.0	The crocodile grabbed one of his legs and pulled him into the deep waters.
2:02.0	But the crocodile was no match for a powerful man like Urjuna.
2:06.0	Soon Urjuna overpowered the beast and pulled it out of the water.
2:10.0	But the moment the crocodile touched the land, it transformed into a beautiful maiden dressed in colorful clothes and ornaments.
2:21.0	The woman bowed in front of Arjuna and said,
2:25.0	I am Apsara Varga, Kueira's concert.
2:29.0	Thank you for rescuing me.
