0:18.7	It's Wednesday as we respond live to the speech that you just heard from Vice President Kamala Harris, but also to the results of the election, which, as you know, are very disappointing for any of us who are in the pro-democracy camp.

0:40.3	We've been very busy over the last 24 hours, haven't we, trying to piece together this

0:48.0	We all started quite optimistic.
0:51.2	And Ron, you know, this is something that I think we are having to come to terms with, is that did we mistakenly think that Kamala Harris had this election in the bag?
1:03.0	I mean, is this our own naivety that we jumped the gun and didn't consider the fact that the people that she was speaking to did
1:12.6	actually leave out some social groups well i never i never said she had it in the bag i never
1:20.0	thought that at all i thought it was going to be razor close and it was all going to come down to
1:24.9	pennsylvania and um Pennsylvania and, and Arizona.
1:29.4	That's what I thought, you know.
1:31.1	I'm a little surprised that,
1:32.6	that Wisconsin and Michigan went for Trump.
1:39.0	That was really surprising because we won the Senate race in Michigan.
1:45.9	There's Democratic governors in those, and Pennsylvania, too.
1:50.3	You know, Pennsylvania, we had a Democratic governor there.
1:53.1	So, yeah, it was a little surprising.
1:55.6	I think the numbers were, I mean, there's clearly four,
2:00.2	three or four demographics there that where Trump really picked up a significant chunk of votes over what he had in 2020.
2:09.1	So, I mean, it's pretty, it's pretty easy to zero in on where the problems were.
