Ron, good day to you. There's a lot happening today. We, it's almost, we say this every week, but the insanity is growing.

The Elon Musk, I think maybe we should start with him, has been

ship posting at a rate of knots. I suppose that's the nicest way of putting it as a really. Maybe he

bought Twitter so he could post. And I think maybe that's really was the whole point, wasn't it? So

he could have a platform, 44 billion, small price to pay for your own platform.

Let's start with him and this continuing resolution, because this is the latest news coming out of Washington.

Elon Musk is not happy about it, and apparently himself plans to take a leading role in cutting spending for the incoming Trump administration.

So just bring us up to speed with A, the CR, but B, how Musk has reacted.

This is not going down the way Mike Johnson planned.

I mean, this is really...

He doesn't seem to be able to catch a break, that guy, does he?

This is, and largely because of Musk.

I mean, Musk is really the problem here for him.

Because, you know, Mike was trying to do what he normally does, which is obfuscate.

I mean, he basically had three options here, okay?

He could have done a, when I say a clean CR, that means just continue the current budget at the current spending levels, make no changes, add nothing, subtract, nothing make no change.

Could have done a clean CR until the end of the fiscal year, which is probably the smart

play, to be honest with it, to the end of

September, because that would allow Donald Trump to do all his culture war stuff, all his other

stuff he wants to do, dismantling the government, DOJ, everything else, and not have to worry
