0:19.4	been there for 11 years 11 years wow so what brought you to live in Madrid, you know, at the very beginning, 11 years ago?
0:26.0	Well I studied abroad there, that's when I met Brian, and I was living in New York and I was working
0:30.0	and I just was so attracted to the culture and the food and the people and I just fell in love and I couldn't wait to go back so I finally did and then I never left.
0:37.4	Did you set out to move there or you went on vacation and you're like I'm not I'm never gonna leave?
0:42.1	Well I originally went to do a master's degree,
0:44.4	which was supposed to be a one-year program.
0:46.9	11 years later, here I am.
0:48.8	So I've been to Barcelona many times myself,
0:51.2	at least a dozen times I think.
0:52.4	I've actually been to Spain, but I've only connected in Madrid.
0:54.8	I've never actually stayed in the city.
0:57.1	And so you're giving me some looks.
0:58.5	So it's definitely overdue.

1:01.5	A lot of people say, oh, oh well I've been to Barcelona.
1:03.7	And it's kind of like saying, I'm from the US and someone says, oh I've been to New York and don't
1:08.2	get me wrong, I love New York, but it's not completely representative of the entire
1:12.4	United States and Barcelona is a great city but Madrid is really the soul of Spain in my opinion
