Macrovoices Spotlight is a brand new podcast format we're introducing on Macro Voices.

When we began selling advertising spots to sponsors to fund our operating costs,

we were immediately inundated by people hoping to buy their way into a feature interview on our

flagship Thursday night podcast. We said no way, and we said it firmly. We're not going to turn

macro voices into an infomercial, and we are absolutely dedicated to never adopting a pay-to-play

model. We will always choose our interview guests based on

what we believe you, the listener, want to hear most. But this has presented something of a

conundrum, because frankly, some of our sponsors are actually very interesting people whom I'd

like to interview. So to resolve this conundrum, we created

Macrovoices Spotlight as a separate and distinct entity. In the interest of full disclosure,

macrovoices spotlight guests are sponsors who may have paid a promotional fee to appear on

Macrovoices Spotlight. But that doesn't mean that we're getting into the infomercial business.

We're going to be very selective and only offer Macrovoices spotlight interviews

to guests who in our judgment really have something to say that is likely to be of

interest to our listeners, and not just a commercial for their product or service.
