Summary
The NCAA’s deadline to withdraw from the 2020 NBA Draft isn’t until next week — but Baylor’s MaCio Teague went ahead and made a decision (1:20). He’ll be back at Baylor. And now, provided Jared Butler also withdraws from the draft, Scott Drew’s Bears look like they’ll be the preseason favorite in the Big 12. So Gary Parrish and Kyle Boone opened this episode of the Eye On College Basketball podcast by discussing Baylor (and the Big 12 in general) before reacting to news that conferences are largely turning toward league-only football schedules (18:30). What, if anything, does that mean for college basketball? And is it even possible to play college football and college basketball outside of a bubble given that Major League Baseball is hitting one bump after another? It’s a fair question to ask.

| 0:08.9 | Ion College basketball podcast where we sometimes discuss, camo fighting and leaking black. |
| 0:14.6 | Matt Norlander is not here with me. He's on vacation, but I still wanted to record a |
| 0:19.5 | second episode this week and I didn't want to do it alone. So I made a call to the CBS |
| 0:25.1 | Sports bullpen and I grabbed Mike Gundy's biggest enemy Oklahoma State football fans favorite |
| 0:30.6 | Oklahoma State graduate, always working, always busy, very important member of the CBS Sports |
| 0:36.2 | staff, Kyle Bunkalbom. Welcome to the Ion College basketball podcast. Before you're |
| 0:41.5 | only father, I need to know if you properly respect Terry Teekel. Do you recognize him as |
| 0:46.2 | a legend or not? I do believe that Terry Teekel is a legend. I actually get some homework |
| 0:52.2 | on Tony Hinkle before this podcast just in case. So yeah, I fall in line with all the |
| 0:58.8 | ideals of the college basketball. Ion College basketball podcast, absolutely. |
| 1:03.0 | I forgot about Tony Hinkle, but that was a highlight of the season before it was of course |
| 1:08.6 | cut short by COVID-19, but Tony Hinkle, he has a legend in his own right, just like Terry |
| 1:15.2 | Teekel and Larnel. All right, let's get into it. So the big news of the week so far, |
| 1:22.1 | at least, is that Baylor's Macy O'Teague is withdrawn from the 2020 NBA draft. It's not |
| 1:28.0 | a surprise, but it's still a significant development for those unfamiliar. He's a 6-3 guard, |
| 1:33.6 | average 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds last season for Baylor team that finished 26 and form |
| 1:39.4 | ranked number three at Kim Palm. He was Baylor's second leading score. So like I wrote in the |
| 1:44.3 | column, you can read it at cbsports.com. It's one big decision down, one big decision to |
| 1:50.1 | go for Scott Drew's Baylor Bears. If Jared Butler, Baylor's leading score also withdraws |
| 1:55.2 | from the NBA draft. Baylor looks like a legit national title contender for the second |
| 2:01.2 | straight season. So, let's start here. Kansas is Kansas and West Virginia and Texas |
