I want to start off by thanking everyone for all the reviews and great suggestions for topics for the podcast.

I've had a lot of you requesting more on General Grievous. Understandably he's a very unique character.

With no force powers, he stood toe-to-toe with many Jedi coming out on top.

He carried and used the lightsabers of the Jedi he killed as trophies, but also to mock the Jedi who stood against him.

It was almost as if General Grievous was taunting them, showing he was just as good as any Jedi, and here are all the lightsabers to prove it.

In today's podcast, I'm going to discuss a great battle between General Grievous and one of my favorite characters, Mace Windu.

I'm going to open a book that I've touched on a few times, Labyrinth of Evil, written by James Lucino.

I thoroughly enjoy this book, and I hope you can give it a read or listen to when you get the chance.

Labyrinth of Evil takes place before Episode 3, and it opens up on details that didn't make it into Revenge of the Sith.

Let's dig into this story and find out about this intense confrontation.

Now it's very easy to get caught up in the excitement of the throne room scene in Revenge of the Sith. At least you know it is for me. Even now after all these years and numerous repeat viewings later, it's still pretty sick.

You got Anakin Skywalker at his prime facing off against the Sith Lord, who reminds you very much of Dracula.

So with that said, when I take a step back and examine the circumstances with a bit of distance, considering what Duku and General Grievous have pulled off, it's all quite astonishing.

They're not just bombing Korsen from orbit with their separatist fleet, they actually have the supreme chancellor of the Republic as their hostage, meaning Grievous and his forces went down to the Republic's capital and fought their way through the security, which includes Jedi, of course.

Snapped up the chancellor and took him on his ship. Now the sheer tenacity of that aside, how Grievous captured Palpatine, it wasn't really all accomplished without a few obstacles in the way, for Grievous at least.
