We start the day with something crazy.

A week or so ago, speculation flared up that Apple might introduce both a new iPad

as well as a new iPhone or two at next Tuesday's media event in Cupertino.

That flare up was tamped down almost as quickly when Man in the No Jim Dalrymple took to his site the loop to say there would be no new iPads at the event.

At that point the world seemed to settle into the idea that the event would be iPhone only
