Things seem to be going so well.

Sadly though, C-Net has city research analyst Glenn Young saying the

iPad will lose market share to rivals, not May, will. His primary concern that Apple this week reported sales of 14.6 million

iPads for the third quarter of fiscal year 2013 that was down from the 17

million it reported for the same quarter a year earlier.

So that would be a decline. A decline that Jung points out is in stark contrast to the overall industry tablet growth, which he says is up in a big way.

His numbers might be scary in a vacuum. What he doesn't point out is that the

third quarter of fiscal year 2012 was the first full quarter of sales for the first iPad with retina display.

Apple hasn't put out her new tablet since October of 2012 and some consumers are smart enough to know that new hotness

in convenient tablet form is on the way.

Additionally, numbers from I. rest of the market did grow year over year while iPad sales shrank year over year.

There seems very, very little chance that the iPad has been overtaken, nor that the iPad is going

to be overtaken any time soon.
