I quoted a Reuters piece here yesterday that said after successfully containing the new

coronavirus for most of last year, Vietnam is now battling an outbreak that is spreading more quickly.

More than 3,000 people have been infected in 30 of its 63 cities and provinces since late

April.

As those numbers go up, the country is reaching out for help and those numbers are going

up.

A report from Bloomberg says Vietnam has reported more than 4,000 local virus cases since the 27th of April.

As the country has become a more important part of the tech supply chain, it's asking the companies for which it makes things

to make COVID-19 vaccine available. According to the report Vietnam is

asking South Korean electronics electronics and other foreign companies

to find COVID-19 vaccines for their workers

as the nation grapples with a virus surge.

Apple Suppliers Fox Fox Con, and Luxshare both have plants in Vietnam,

plants that have seen disruption due to the recent rise in Vietnam of COVID-19,

well it would be crazy if Apple was not one of the

company's petition for help securing vaccine. Samsung is the only company

mentioned in that context specifically.
