Homepods got some new homes on the horizon.

Mac rumor says Apple announced on Sunday that its relatively smart speaker

will be made available in China and Hong Kong this Friday, the 18th of January.

In its announcement, Apple listed all kinds of reasons people might want

Home Pod. Among them, access to Apple's Siri Digital Assistant, Air Play 2 support, and a focus on Apple Music's program new artists of the week

featuring artists from the Middle Kingdom as well as playlists tailored

specifically for the region. What Apple did not list was where the device will be available nor how much it'll cost.

Apple stores and Apple's online store seem safe bets.

Weird they didn't say how much it'll cost though.

And that is about all the hard news for Apple today.

The rest is rumor and opinion and a kicker.

I'm guessing the people who might have written and made news were on their way back from

CES.
