And today our guest is Lynn Short, she's a former member of a group called the New Nostek Society, an Armageddon cult with a mishmash of beliefs from different religions.

So we're gonna talk about how the man she was in love with introduced her to this group that emphasized lucid dreaming and withholding your orgasms to collect your spiritual energy and the shame that became attached to sex as a result.

She'll also tell us about the group's original Guru Samayal, whom they referred to as master, what happened to the group after he died, and how she became not just a member but a missionary.

Plus the idea of spiritualizing depression and what led to her finally leaving the group.

Yes, yes, yes, I said this already in the interview, but surprise I'd never heard of this group before, it sounds their beliefs are just super, super interesting.

And then the fact that this girl is like talking to the police, she's getting shamed and shunned and you want to play rugby, so you have to get water boarded and branded.
