Hey everybody, I'm Alex Pavlovich along with Cole Kuiper. This is Giants Talk. Of course,

this is also like day 100 of the walkout. Seriously, like day 100, this is the point we're at.

But it might be on Wednesday morning, if you're listening to this on Wednesday morning,

possibly the last day. We will see some optimism on Tuesday night

that decides maybe we're getting closer. We have another kind of fake deadline from MLB,

but they kept talking late into the night and there's some movement on the money stuff,

which is really the important stuff. And it seems like there are some new issues, potentially, the international draft, there's disagreement there.

But, you know, that's a smaller one if you're talking about holding this up.

And I think here as we talk, you know, before they've reached a deal or before they've canceled more games,

it does seem like a good

time to reach a deal because canceling more games will just complicate this. And then you're

arguing about whether the players get paid for 162, you're arguing about service time for a short

season. So some optimism, at least on Tuesday night, here on Wednesday morning.

We'll see where it all goes, but business as usual here, or at least what you've gotten used

to, I was out at minor league camp in Scottsdale, kind of continuing a theme from the last few weeks

here. And had a chance to talk to a lot of players, a lot of coaches down there. We'll have some

of that coming the next couple weeks, no matter what happens with the lockout. But I did talk to

Travis Hesakawa, and a lot of that is coming at the end of this podcast. So always good to catch up

with him. I was there in 2014. I was on the field 10 minutes after that walk off home run and obviously the biggest
