and Old Glace, Bringing Up Baby, the Philadelphia story, and Hitchcock's

North by Northwest. He's been chosen by the comedian and actress Lucy Porter

a familiar voice on the news quiz on Radio 4 and the series she authored authored the Fair Intellectuals Club is still

being broadcast Lucy what is it about Carrie Grant that you so admire

apart from his great looks and his great films? Obviously the charisma, you know, I mean,

I've kind of fallen in love with Carrie Grant twice, really.

When I was very young, I was a huge fan of Doris Day

and then I watched that touch of Mink and of all her co-stars he was the one who kind of affected me most.

How old were you then? I mean 11 or 12 I had a sort of protracted childhood illness and my

mom had stuck on old videos to try and

keep me entertained so it was brilliant I got sort of introduction to classic Hollywood

as a fairly young girl of 11 or 12 and yeah and I mean before I even sort of knew what

passion was I kind of felt it for Carrie Grant I was like oh there's something

very special about him and then a few years ago I was asked to introduce one of
