Summary

Lori has spent over 39 years in medicine. Her first 24 years were as an ER and ICU nurse. She went on to become a Nurse Practitioner in 2004 and worked in Family Practice. She moved into the specialty of aesthetics in 2007 and has continued to grow and learn every day. She has become a sought-after speaker and international aesthetic educator. She serves on several advisory boards (6) and is on faculty with (8) different medical conferences. In 2012 she received the award for the U.S. National Aesthetic Nurse of the Year, then in 2015 the award for Southern California’s Best Aesthetic Nurse, and has been selected at America’s top 100 Best Aesthetic injectors 3 years in a row. It's truly my honor. I would love to ask you a little bit about your background. I want

I want the listeners to know, you know, just what you've done and how your background has been

in the industry. Oh my gosh, I don't know where to start, girl. I started my career in intensive

care as an RN and then went to emergency rooms. So I did the combined. I did those for about 24

years and then became a nurse practitioner and educated myself right out of a job because my

hospital at that time didn't use nurse practitioners or PAs. So I ended up working in family practice

for a few years. And during that time, the whole time, I was the medical consultant for General

Hospital and quite a few movies and stuff. So I said, I did a lot of medical consulting on the set,

wrote, wrote dialogue, just all kinds of fun stuff for TV land and learned a lot about that fantasy

world. Yeah, that's so cool. Because I love all the, I love all the medical shows and this is

so surreal. Yeah, it was neat because because General Hospital, I had my, I'm union too. So I would

be on the show and play a nurse whenever I was there. But I did that for about 19 years and

I was able to bring a lot of diagnoses into the scripts like HIV and breast cancer and

pediatric transplant and things that really educated the audience regarding a lot of medical
