Summary

The conviction of former President Donald Trump generated lots of comments about the rule of law. Some said it was the end of the rule of law and others said it was demonstrative of the rule of law. What if neither observation is correct? David uses the thoughts of Lord Henry deBracton, the father of the common law, to examine rule of law and in what sense, if any, it exists today.

But before I get into our topic, I want to again briefly announce that if you are between the ages of 14 and 18 or the

1:55.8

2:01.6

On the other hand, those on the other side of this conviction see it is a vindication of the rule of law, saying it proves that no person is above the law and is immune from obedience and compliance to the law.

2:15.0

So what if I were to tell you that I think few on either side of those comments know what they're talking about, especially perhaps the

2:27.2

Christians and Conservatives.

2:29.4

Of course, I'm saying that generally, not saying that's true of everybody who's issued a comment

2:36.4
