So yesterday out at the league meetings, the 49ers brass, Kyle Shanahan, John Lynch, and the owner, Jed York, asked a ton of questions about the Brandon Ayuk situation.

And Kyle basically, look, you can tell, and you could tell this when the season ended, they're not very happy

with Brandon Ayyuk. They feel like they were taken to the cleaners on this. I mean, we've

talked about this many times, but the fact that they were able to pull back close to $30 million

of owed money to Brandon Ayuk and void that amount in his deal.

And Iyuk didn't even fight it.

Tells you that, you know, this was probably more on IUC than it was on the 49ers.

Kyle said with respect to when is something going to happen with Brandon Iuk.

He said, I don't have a date for it, but I know eventually it'll resolve itself.

Hopefully we could get something for him, and I know we're in no rush to do that.

You've got to do what's right for the Niners, and you're not going to try to hook up any other team as fast as you possibly can.

Hopefully we can get something for that, and it'll take care of itself.

Jed York, the owner, when asked about Ayuk, said, I think anything's possible.

We want to make sure that we have as talented of a roster as possible. First and foremost,

he needs to get healthy and be able to perform. I think once that happens, he's a really,

really good football player. I'll tell you, the two different answers sort of, you know, reflect

Jed York's ability to set up a potential negotiation or a potential

trade option as like, let's not kill the player in public and then try to trade them.

And I think that's what's what Kyle's doing.

Kyle's frustration and even John Lynch's frustration has boiled over to the point where they don't want

to do anything to help him. They don't feel like they owe him anything. And they certainly

don't want to help another team sign him for a one-year prove-it deal after picking him up
