Hey, Longhorn Blitz listeners. This is Jeff Howe. And before Matt Rod and I get to the latest edition of the Longhorn Blitz podcast, I wanted to post a quick disclaimer at the beginning of this week's show. Not that any of us said anything controversial or anything of that nature, but a lot of the stuff we talked about as it relates to COVID-19. We got hit with a tidal wave of information

0:23.4

right after we recorded this show. As I'm sure everybody has seen by now, University of Texas

0:29.6

interim president Jay Hartzell has announced that the school is looking at a 25% capacity

0:35.4

limit for football games this fall.

0:38.2

Also, we now have the ACC announcing they are going to the 10 plus one conference schedule

0:44.7

model for 2020, and there are reports that the SEC is leaning toward a conference-only

0:51.5

schedule.

0:52.3

So as it relates to the pandemic, we did not want you,

0:56.2

our loyal listener, to feel as though we mailed it in this week or we're giving you bad

0:59.9

information. It's just a case of horrible, horrible timing. As Rod said, when all the reports

1:07.7

started to come out, and we just left studio dot, dot left studio dot dot dot and was linking to all the

1:13.5

stories coming up so with that said we hope you do enjoy the discussion of our thoughts on scheduling

1:20.5

and how texas can play a non-conference schedule as close to constructed previously as possible

1:26.6

along with our discussion on ch Ash and the Texas defense.

1:30.0

So, with that said, let's get on with this week's presentation.

1:34.7

Blitz is defined as a sudden savage attack.

1:38.5

It is indeed all this.

1:40.8

The effect is sure.

1:42.5

The premise is simple.

1:44.1

It's a basic primal confrontation, man to man.

1:48.8

No excuses are offered, none except.
