In today's episode, Dr. Mark Hyman and his team at the Ultra Wellness Center discuss

0:19.3

the functional medicine approach to cancer, and why it's important to focus on the soil or the

0:23.8

terrain in which cancer grows. They discuss how genetics might load the gun, but environment pulls

1:55.6

how to do the second part. I remember one patient shed three different cancers. Her doctors

2:02.4

just wanted her to do what we call active surveillance, which is just doing scans and tests to see

2:07.6

if it comes back. There's nothing active about that. It's passive. Just wait and see and hope it

2:12.6

doesn't come back and hopefully we catch it early. And it's terrifying for most people who are
