Brett, I gotta say from our Western States preview episode, much to my surprise, the Wayne's

world reference totally hit.

I probably got more than a handful of DMs laughing about it, and I'm sure you probably

got some too, right?

Yeah, yeah.

Faith in humanity, somewhat restored. But yeah, I was confident about that one.

We kind of have a better sense of our demographics now, too.

Dude, Western states just happened. You were in it. How are you feeling?

Yeah, I mean, I'm actually feeling pretty solid. I mean, I don't think anything's really broken.

Appetites coming back.

I mean, it still kind of hurts to go up and downstairs, you know, all the normal stuff.

But, yeah, much better than when I did it last in 2018.

Being able to fuel during the race is a big game changer.

My stomach was great this time around, and that's helped out hugely with the recovery,

as well as being able to think relatively well throughout the whole race.

Well, while you were getting prepared for Western States and racing it about a week ago,

I got diagnosed with acid reflux disease.

And the only reason why I bring that up is because one of the first things you have to do to troubleshoot is totally eliminate caffeine from your diet.
