Today we're going to be talking about a topic that is very near and dear to my heart,

and it's something that causes me to have violent crying breakdowns regularly,

and that is the concept of being a long-distance daughter,

or someone in your family who has chosen to move away from where

most of the family is located, your parents, your grandparents, siblings, et cetera,

because you want something different in life and you're going to go get it.

And it's about balancing your own ambitions with the pain of leaving loved ones behind,

or at least leaving them geographically.

It's going to be a doozy. I hope I don't start crying during this episode. We'll see.

And it was inspired by the fact that I'm actually visiting home this weekend. So I'm recording

on a Friday, and for Saturday and Sunday I'm going to be at my parents' house. I'm very

excited. But traveling back home always brings up a lot of emotions for me,

and so I thought this would be the perfect time.
