The new British government, Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt, and their way forward for the

overwhelmed budget in Great Britain during the war in Ukraine, during the exit from the

European Union, with inadequate homegrown energy resources. No special planning about what

is to be done, have found a way I learned from Joseph Sternberg, member of the editorial

board of the Wall Street Journal, who writes his column, Politically Economics, from London.

So I go to Joe right now to ask for this magic formula that Mr. Sunak and Mr. Hunt

have presented with smiles on. Joe, a very good evening to you. Thank you very much. How

have they managed a budget that is overwhelmingly in a rears with no obvious source of revenue

into the future? And much complaining about there is no startup nation here. There's a

Hey, John. Well, I think that the story for 2023, especially in the UK, is going to be

this classic problem that the middle class always pays in the end. And I think that we're

starting to see that really come into focus with the budget plan that Rishi Sunak and

Jeremy Hunt unveiled back in November. And people are starting to think about the new

tax year that's going to start in April and understand exactly what all of these tax
