Now we're looking at the new government, dominant new government, by Sir Kirstamer,

the Prime Minister, and over 400 seats for labor. That means what

labor wants, labor gets, but right now they're in a conference where I'm learning their

names and their intentions, at least the opening where learning their

intentions at least the opening round of intentions.

The way to read this is to understand that mistakes will be made.

Labor's been out of government for more than a decade, I think as much

as 13 years. So these are baby steps they're taking at the conference. Joe, I know that Kirstarmer is well known for not saying anything during the

campaign and it did him well. Now that he's talking he's making some

mistakes at the podium but he presents himself as firmly in command.

The new person to me is Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

I watched her speech.

She's clearly a very, very vivid person on the podium.

Her presentation so far for the economy, which is a slow growth economy,

is it equally vivid? has she got a clear vision of where

she's going well I think that you know Britain has this concept of the idea of jam

tomorrow you know this this notion which may be left over from rationing in the war that things might be

dire right now but we will have jam tomorrow.

You know we'll be able to get the good sweet stuff later.
