The House of Representatives will begin impeaching President

Trump today again the first time in American history that an American president

has been impeached twice. As I've said here before, impeachment is the right step.

And my hope is that the House will send impeachment articles to the Senate once Democrats are

in the majority, and Biden Harris administration is sworn in so that we can convict Donald Trump and

include as a part of his sentence conditions that include he no longer be able to

run for president. This is unprecedented in constitutionally an open question as to whether or not you can forbid someone for running for president in the future,

but otherwise eligible under the Constitution.

But this isn't the time for congressional Democrats

to play constitutional lawyer.

It's time for them to do the right thing.

And that's what the House is doing today.
