Hello, I'm Chris Hewitt and welcome to a very special edition of the Empire Podcast.

The BFI London Film Festival is one of our favorite film festivals and not just because

it doesn't require a train or a plane to get there.

It is a wonderful festival that presents an incredibly wide array of movies over the course

of almost two weeks.

And a wide array of movies requires a wide array of actors.

And so in an Empire Podcast first, we decided to get three incredible actors into the same

room to talk about their experiences of the London Film Festival.

The movies they have here at the festival, six in total and the nature of acting itself.

And the three incredible actors are Ben Mendelssohn, the brilliant Australian actor who

is broken through in the last few years since his turn in Animal Kingdom and is cropped

up in blockbusters like Rogue One, Captain Marvel, Ready Player One and more.

He has two movies at the LFF, The King and Baby Teeth.

Lenders Jimmy Fales, who is the first time actor here with the last black man in San

Francisco, which is a semi-autobiographical tale in which he plays well.

And finally, there's Morphid Clark, a fast rising Welsh actor who has three films here

at the LFF, The Personal History of David Copperfield, St. Maud and Eternal Beauty.

Now in terms of a conversation, this became exactly what I hoped it would be, a fun and

frank exchange about acting and why actors act between three really interesting performers,

each of whom are at very different stages of their career.
