This is the Friends of History Debating Society. I am Gaius John Bachelor and I welcome

Dramaticus Mac of Lejos. We are in Londinium, it is 91 AD, 1st century of the Roman Empire.

We're extremely confident men. We're Equis class. We didn't want to pay all that money to be a senator and besides what

do they get for their money? Very little, a lot of grief. We stay as far away from Rome as possible.

We're in Londidiums surrounded by retired centurians and their families.

We have no fear whatsoever ever since Botakuter went away.

We're extremely secure and we stay away from the intricacies of Rome.

That gives us time.

And one of the things we've discovered in our conversations is that we can see the future.

We are very confident into the 21st century and beyond about what we have,

the reflections of those centuries on what we have,

which is a secure all-powerful Roman Empire.

We only win, that is the only win. Victory is the only thing we know. And that's why

when we turn to subjects like the 20th century or the 21st century. It is a fascination to us how

it is that other empires thinking they're like us, except something less than victory or get into boxes where

they can't get out of the box.

And that might be, is, maybe, should be, could be, I'm not committing myself here.

Ukraine.

Germanicus has analysed Ukraine this last year and a half. February of 22 it is now the end of 23. He has analyzed it

from the point of view of a Roman citizen looking at the power of the Russian Empire, the ambition of the heartland, the ambition of a

descendant of the Roman Empire. And when the Roman Empire moved on a colony or

a rebellious tribe or some part of the Empire that was dissenting. We, the Romans, moved to win. Win everything. There was no turning
