Hey gang, and welcome back to another episode of your favorite podcast, Short Stories for Kids!

I hope you guys are doing really, really well.

We have another magical adventure pack story for you this episode.

Okay, so today's story request comes from Logan, and he has a best friend, which is a penguin,

and they do sensible things and silly things together, and both of them love to

listen to the podcast at breakfast and on the way to school. And Logan would love

to hear a story about space, dinosaurs, racing cars, and pizza. And mom has asked if you can also

put her in it. Her name is Ashley because she doesn't want to miss out on fun things too.

Okay, mom Ashley and Logan, here is your story. And it's a special one today because it is going

to be told by our guest storyteller, Daniel, who I'm sure you guys are going to love. Are you ready? Let's go.

Logan was eating breakfast. Nothing unusual in that, you might think. Except that, as always,

he was joined by his best friend, Penguin. Penguin wasn't the greatest fan of things Logan

liked to eat for breakfast, as he preferred fish. But it was hard to get fish flavored cereal,

so Penguin just may do, and ate whatever Logan was having.

Are you okay? Logan asked Penguin. Penguin looked up from across the table and said,

uh-huh, I'm okay, and went back to pushing cereal around his bowl. Later, while Penguin was watching a

cartoon, Logan slipped away to find his mom in the backyard. Mama, he said, I think Penguin said,

oh, said mama as she enrolled some very sticky tape. She was building something with cardboard

boxes, string, and old plastic bottles. Do you think something's wrong? I don't know.

Said Logan quietly. He says everything's okay, but I can tell he said, I am his best friend after all.

Hmm, said mama. It sounds like Penguin needs cheering up. Why don't you go and get him,

and I'll give you both a ride in my Ashley 5,000 racing car. I've nearly finished it.
