Summary

The Warriors took on the Suns at home last night and for the third-straight game, Stephen Curry didn't have to play the fourth quarter. Actually, the fourth featured heavy minutes from Omri Casspi, Nick Young and Kevon Looney, who all played well in the win. Casspi in particular had a double-double and made the younger Suns guarding him look slow. Casspi make an appearance on Dub of the Week, but it's Patrick McCaw who gets the honor this week, as he played basketball on five-straight days going back and forth between Santa Cruz and the big club. Also on tap: whether or not Derrick Rose is worth a look, and how much of a threat are the Rockets? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Greetings, Hoopsheads, welcome to Locked-on Warriors, part of the Locked-on Podcast Network.

It's Tuesday, February 13th.

I'm your host, Aliko Carter. I totally had a case of the

0:41.0

Mondays yesterday. I was just feeling sluggish. I wouldn't even say under the weather, just like,

0:47.0

you know, Monday. I was feeling Monday. But the Warriors, the Warriors showed up. They weren't

0:53.4

feeling Monday. They were feeling Tuesday,

0:55.2

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. They were feeling all the days. They were making

0:59.3

shots. They played the best wire-to-wire defensive game that I've seen in this new year.

1:07.1

And it resulted in a 40-plus point victory. I mean, granted, you're playing the sons,

1:11.1

you're playing the depleted sons, but they really came through. And Steve Kerr, you know,

1:17.8

deserves a lot of credit for this because he allowed them to coach themselves. And just all day,

1:23.0

he allowed them to coach the shoot around in the morning and all the way through obviously he was the one

1:29.4

calling timeouts he was the one you know dealing with momentum shifts and and things like that but then

1:36.0

once he was done he passed a clipboard over to draymond or andre or whomever and they made stuff

1:41.0

happen and that in and of itself shows the innovator that Curry is.

1:47.0

He doesn't get a lot of credit.

1:48.5

Well, he gets plenty of credit here in the Bay Area, of course.

1:51.6

But he doesn't get a lot of credit nationally for being one of the best coaches in the league

1:56.8

because he has so much talent.

1:59.0

And, you know, how can you be a great coach when you've got
