Today on the podcast, we're going to take a step back for a second from reviewing prospects.

We have to talk about this Brandon Cook's trade.

Brandon Cooks traded from the New England Patriots to the L.A. Rams.

And what it means ultimately, not just for the Patriots,

right, in their roster. I think it makes them a little worse, no doubt about that. But what does it

do to the NFL draft now as the Patriots now have two picks in the first round? Where are they

going in the first round? Because that can affect who the Steelers will take ultimately at 28.

Before we get to that, let's talk about some Steelers news and notes today.

As I said last week, Nat Burr, the safety from the Giants, was going to be visiting the Steelers.

He did that today.

No word yet if he's signed.

But again, he is a safety slash special teams guy, pretty much a special teams guy. He would be replacing someone like Robert Golden, who was our special team's captain for the past couple years. Robert

Golden actually signed with the Kansas City Chiefs today. So any idea that he could be brought

back before the season started if they didn't find a good special team there. Remember,

they brought in the Patriots good special team guy Matthew Slater for a visit. He ended up

resigning with the Patriots. So with Robert Golden now going to the cheese, the Steelers

are going to have to find another good special teams player to replace Golden.

Leighton Vander Esh's pro day was today.

The Steelers were in attendance.

Not necessarily Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert, but linebacker coach Jerry Orlovsky was in attendance for the pro day, leading some of the linebacker drills.
