It's another year of Lockdown Lions here in 2018, New Year's Day.

And boy, oh boy, the Alliance pulling the trigger.

Many fans thought there was no way that Bob Quinn would fire Jim Caldwell.

Many fans thought that Martha Ford and the Ford family's love for Jim Caldwell would trump anything that Bob Quinn was thinking about.

But after another nine and seven season, two of them in a row, Quinn made the call himself early this morning, made the call.

He said at his press conference late last night, but called Jim Caldwell this morning.

The team announced it at about 7.40 this morning that Caldwell would be relieved of his duties.
