I asked you earlier this week if we could restart the Daily Devar.

The Daily Devar, if you recall,

was something we did a few years ago

where you emailed me and reminded you like your favorite moment of what it made

for you to be a jazz fan and I got one from Bridger Beale.

So let's start today's show with a daily devar. I just want to share a quick note on why I became a jazz fan,

wrote, Bridger growing up, my great-grandmother of Virginia lived in the basement of my grandparents' house,

where we would visit each week for dinner.

Virginia was the biggest jazz fan I know and watched every game on TV for as long as I could remember.

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure she watched every single game for at least 10 years.

My cousin and I remember watching jazz games with her as a kid,

which is where we learned to cheer Memonocor, Andrei, Carolinco, Matt Harpron,

Carlos Boozer, Darren Williams, and as she got older,
