And I'm laughing because Joe and I have in this ridiculous argument

about whether it's Jif or GIF.

And on the one hand, I recognize that people can pronounce it either way and it's fine.

But Joe's like offended that I choose Jif and that the creator of the word agrees with me, the creator of the graphic interface

format agrees with me.

And Joe has gone on these tirades about how Plato was invented for something different than

his use for now, bubble wrap was invented for something different than it's a lot of wallpaper

stuff that was

misconstrued you know they're trying to inventions came it was a real big boom for wallpaper I guess

they keep screwing up wallpaper yeah and turn it into other useful things but my point is none of that

matters this is a linguistic argument and joan's like all right I'll look up words that have changed a pronunciation over time.
