It's telling that we're sort of like,

at this point, we're acting as this shadow empire

without really acknowledging that that's what's going on.

And so all we do is we just like,

the only thing we have to export, it feels like,

is this lame, just ever proliferating set

of weird arcane dogmas that we export

to totally bewildered foreign nations

where they have nothing to do with the history there

and where, as you say, Ryan,

it's not even like to have a significant black population

to be oppressing it with this black lives matter rhetoric

or whatever, I mean, or the queer stuff

into like the Middle East, right?

Like I'm so glad now that our villages

are being bombed by like rainbow bombs or whatever.

But I mean, I'm being flipped,

but this is a serious problem.

And it does seem as if we're basically like,

empire-ing, we're stumbling into empire

in this really inept way.
