Todays guest has a story that the dots can be connected all the way back to being a child. Starting with her love for gymnastics, she excelled at flips, tumbles, and all the other things that I can't even do one off, until one day her gymnastics coach failed to turn up for a session. Instead of doing what most kids would do when the teacher is suddenly not around, and mess around, chat, and generally savour the fact that there are no adults in the room, our guest had other ideas. Jumping up she decided to take over the session herself and for the next seven years coached 2 year olds up to adults. And that is the beauty of life spent joining up the dots, as most of the time there is a big dot that takes you off on a path that you couldn't have predicted when the dot first appears. Most of the time you don't even know that it appeared at all. But her love for coaching was born, and after a series of injuries curtailed her continued participation in competitive athletics, she quickly developed a new passion for personal training, nutrition coaching, and teaching group exercise classes. And the rest as they say is history.....but not so fast. As although this seems like a normal story of a lady finding her path in life and following it through to success, it was far from that, as once she started to get serious and create her own fitness business, whilst her clients were getting healthier and fitter the complete opposite was true of our guest today. Starting a new business, paying all her bills, was making her so stressed out, that it slowly started taking a toll on her body. 6 months later her body shut down. Shut down as in can't train clients, can't teach classes, constant pain, and she can barely stay awake. So what does she do? How does she recover her mojo, her fitness and her business, and take it to greater and greater levels of success. Well lets find out as I bring on to the show the lovely and uber fit Liz Cortez
