Praise the Lord.

It's awesome. Let's turn over to Ephesians. Again, we started last night

in Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 8 and I use this verse that is pretty common to a lot of people but not commonly

understood. It says for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

And last night I was making the point that that grace alone

doesn't save you. Faith alone doesn't save you. You're saved by grace through

faith. And then I begin to define some things. Grace is what God does for us,

independent of us. It has nothing to do with us or it wouldn't be grace.

Therefore, you didn't earn it, you didn't merit it.

God didn't look at us and respond to us, but rather,

grace is something that is done by God before we ever have a problem it's done independent of us, independent of anything

that we deserve.

And that's a wonderful truth.

But some people have taken this truth about God does things independent of us and not based on

our worth or value and they've gone to an extreme where they forget that there is a faith

on our part that it takes to release the grace of God.

And last night what I did basically was talking about an extreme of this to where people

get into the sovereignty of God and teach that God just controls everything. It's independent of you.

Whatever God wills comes to pass. And I spent quite a bit of time last night talking about that.
