Hi, it's the Redmond by Tess podcast. I'm Clare Bloxham. It is Tuesday the 28th January and I'm here to round up the latest LFC news from the past 24 hours.

To kick things off, let's look at a Liverpool loony in terms of Ben Doak. This January transfer window, he's had a lot of rumours, speculation around him about potentially joining

a Premier League club. Yeah, there were some Premier League clubs interested in signing him

after he's having a brilliant season so far at Middlesbrough. Liverpool slapped on a price tag

of around 30 million, I think it was, which is a lot of money for a lad

who hasn't played many senior games for Liverpool, has had some big injuries, and it's fair to

say that the Premier League clubs were interested in them, but maybe not enough to pay that

price tag. And to be honest, I can slightly understand because 30 million is a lot.

At the start in the summer when we were thinking there was rumours that potentially we were going to get rid of Bend Oak altogether.

I wasn't particularly happy about that because I actually think he's a lad who's got a load of talent.

And hopefully one day can be Sutton for Liverpool.

You know, so when he went on loan I was a lot happier and he has had a brilliant season so far at Middlesbrough and he deserves the

praise and the interest that he is getting but it is um what's happened now is basically he's set to remain on loan at Middlesbrough for the rest of the season

after obviously fending off the interest from Ipswich and Crystal Palace

there was a point where I thought Liverpool could recall him to then make the full sale

but I'm quite glad that's not the case because you know he's had a good six months

on loan at Middlesbrough to then go and do that in the Premier League at a big club that is quite

the jump I think maybe he does need the rest of the season to stay at Middlesbrough but the

interest is brilliant that he's got that.

It's good from Liverpool because it means, you know,

I don't know whether Liverpool want to sell him or not.

I have a feeling that they do.
