LFC news from the past 24 hours. It is obviously the first day after the January transfer window

has closed. So I'll take a look at some of the Premier League signings and let you know the biggest

ones, see what movements has happened there. But before we do any of that, let's get in to the fact that Liverpool have officially signed

Jeremy Jacques and they have announced the transfer of Jeremy Jacques.

Obviously not for now.

This is to happen in the summer as long as clearance and everything is fine but Liverpool

have announced it to let me read you out the entire piece on their page it says

Liverpool have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jeremy Jacques from Stad

Renéy with the defender set to join the club ahead of the 2026-27 season, subject to a work permit and

international clearance. The Reds have secured the deal for the 20-year-old that will see him

complete the remainder of the current campaign in League E and move to Armfield in the summer

on a long-term contract. Jacques, who has five caps for France under 21s,

has made 18 appearances for Renee in his country's top flight so far this season.

Overall, the centreback has figured on 31 occasions.

It's really, really a small sample, says that, isn't it, for Renee,

since making his debut in January 2024.

He also gained League One experience during a loan spell with Claremont Thute, which is what I'm going to go with there.

In 2024, Jacques He helped France to the final of the under-19th European Championship,

during which he was named in the team of the tournament.

So that is what Liverpool have put out. The fee, if I remember from Paul Joyce, was 55 million plus

5 million add-ons, which 60 mill for a 20-year-old defender. Liverpool must rate him a lot because that is a lot of money. Liverpool have been looking to do this kind of deal for several seasons now.
