Hey everyone, welcome to another live shot of Pirates here from PNC Park.

I'm Jose Negron from DK Pittsburgh Sports.

The Pirates an 8 to 7 loss in 13 innings.

A lot that went on here today, a long day here at PNC Park, 8-7 defeated the hands of the Tampa

Bay Rays.

We had four hours of playing time here, a two-and-a-half-hour rain delay, and it didn't seem

like there was any end in sight, really.

It kind of was one of those games where neither team wanted to win it.

And finally, Cedric Mullins said, you know what, I'll put my team up by two runs in the top of the 13th inning.

Connor Griffin, you know, did his best on two separate occasions to drive in some runs,

but Pirates just couldn't get that big hit.

And just disheartening is really the only worth that comes to mind for me in terms of

this loss.

And then you talk about kind of the, you know, the amount of this heartening losses that

they've had this week.

Of course, they've done a good job of putting that aside and focusing on the next game,

but you still have these losses stacking up in between, you know, those wins.

And it's disappointing.

It's tough to see games where, I mean, these are games that they're, you know,

kind of giving away.

They're show and fight.

There's no doubt about that.
