But we do have with us, the economist John Cochran, Hoover's senior fellow, Goodfellow's Regular, and what makes us a very special broadcast, joining us live from Kiev, Ukraine,

0:54.8	So, Neil, you've been in Kiev for about 36 hours now. You've been tracking this war for six and a half months as you're thinking changing it all now that you've been on the ground and had a chance to look around.
0:59.8	Yes. And it was changing even before I got here. I've arrived at a rather extraordinary moment in this
1:08.7	war. As we speak, it is becoming clear that Ukrainian forces have achieved a major success with their counteroffensive in the vicinity of Kharkiv.
1:24.6	The city of Izzyum has fallen.
1:27.9	The Russians have fled, it appears in some disarray.
1:31.8	And so we're beginning to see the first signs
1:37.2	that Ukraine's counteroffensive can meaningfully
1:42.5	push the Russians back.
1:53.0	What's fascinating though is how understated the Ukrainians are at this moment, when you might expect there to be jubilation, quite the reverse.
1:58.0	The messaging here is somber.
2:01.6	President Zelensky told us yesterday that there will be 90 days of a winter of discontent to get through.
2:11.6	He used that Shakespearean phrase.
2:14.6	The messaging from all his ministers and other government officials is strikingly sober.
2:22.3	They have understood the dangers of premature triumphalism.
2:28.3	And that impresses me almost as much as the news of success from the battlefield,
