I'm the host Scott Feinberg and my guest today is a legendary Norwegian actress who has

been internationally famous and admired for almost 60 years.

She is best known for her 50 year personal relationship, 5 of them romantic and 12 cinematic

collaborations, including 1966's Persona, 1972's Cry's and Whispers and 1973's Scenes

from a Marriage, with the late Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman.

But she has also done great work in multiple films directed by another sweet, Yantroel,

most famously 1971's The Emigrants in 1972's The New Land, and in more recent years,

she even became a respected director herself.

The recipient of two best actress Oscar nominations, as well as five best actress-golden globe

nominations, one of which resulted in a win, she will on Friday night at the Academy's

12th Annual Governors Awards, receive an honorary Oscar in recognition of Lifetime Achievement.
