How's it going, babes? Happy Friday. They get announcement. Huge breaking news. Patreon babes, you probably already saw. But it's no longer a ghost town over there. Okay, we finally got some stuff going on.

Basically what happened is we decided to merge the Cult Leader Patreon with obituary and we will be uploading bonus content behind the scene stuff from tour and more. Obviously no pressure to sign up. If you just want to have some extra stuff every month, you can go there.

We uploaded an episode last night of Madison and I playing this awful game of would you rather horrendous. Really we were just trying to figure out because we knew that we wanted to record some stuff when we're on tour because we're obviously going to be together the whole time, which by the way you can get your tickets at obituarypodcast.com.

But we were like, where are we going to put the stuff we record? Because it doesn't really make sense to upload it on Cult Leader. It doesn't make sense to upload it really on obituary. We were like, why not go back to our roots? Go back to Patreon. So there we go. It's five bucks a month. If you were already a pre-existing Patreon, don't worry about it. Let's see. I'm headed up to SF this afternoon. Gonna go to Supercross this weekend. Very excited for that. Hopefully we'll be able to squeeze in a dinner at flower and water in the city tonight because that is my current favorite. If you're ever in San Francisco, I know some of you have already gone because you've tagged me and DMed me. But flower and water is the best. The food phenomenal. So excited to eat. I finally got my wisdom teeth out last weekend.

Just delicious. Whole lot of butter. Sometimes that's just what you need to get you feeling better. I am ready to get down on some solids though. Okay, I'm craven pizza. I want pasta. I want it all. Don't think I have too much else to fill you in on. Still just getting ready for the tour. Really excited. Again, just a reminder that little leaders may be a little erratic during the weeks that were gone.

But the main episodes are already roaring ready to go. Yeah, let's move on to some news this morning. I was actually reading about this case about a couple from Missouri. So so sad. This is from a people magazine article.

It says, man killed wife in National Park during argument over COVID-19 stimulus check. Dylan hangar 31, pled guilty to one count of second-degree murder in May in the death of 29 year old Brittany Gorman. And I hadn't heard about this until this article popped up in my emails.

It says a Missouri man was sentenced on Tuesday to 21 years in federal prison for the murder of his estranged wife who he killed during an argument over stimulus money in a National Park. And I'm thinking 21 years. Like, what the fuck is that? He's going to get out when he's 31 now. He's going to get out when he's 52 years old. That doesn't seem fair to me.

The hangar began planning to kill Gorman, so this is pre-meditated. In the months prior to her May 20, 2020 killing, telling a friend he had it down to a day and time according to a federal sentencing memorandum obtained by people.

In March of 2020, he explored buying a firearm but did not want to type into Facebook why he wanted it. At some point, he removed the knife he later used to kill his wife from his home. Authorities said the day of the killing, hangar met up with Gorman, the mother of his three children at a convenience store in Mountain View, where he said he put gas in her truck and gave her a $2,000 check for part of their stimulus money, a check he knew would bounce if he gave her that check at all.

Authorities said they met again later that day at the Buck Hollow Access Point at the Jacks Fork River, where he stabbed her multiple times and then dumped her remains near a remote trailhead in the Mark Twain National Forest.

After the murder, he allegedly asked friends to help him secure an alibi and told family and friends that his ex-wife may have disappeared because of her quote-unquote drug connections.

So this guy is a real piece of shit. I'll link the rest of the article if you want to read it, but I'm just like why the fuck did he only get 21 years? Again, does not seem fair to me. Statistically, if he gets out at 52 years old, he's still got a few decades left in him.

And I think that's bullshit. It was premeditated murder. This just wasn't just like an enraged act. I haven't read all the court transcripts. I don't know all the details of the investigation and whatnot, or if this was part of a plea deal that if he pled guilty, he would only get this amount of time, but feels not long enough to me.

I've also been trying to follow the Murdoch situation, and there's just so much going on there. I think I want to cover it on an upcoming episode. It's such an ongoing situation. I feel like new details are being added every day. But talk about just a wild case. I mean, that is a lifetime movie in the making.
