How many of you have that memorized? How many of you have that down pat now? It's almost like when you're on an airplane, if you fly a lot you start to remember the instructions given by the flight attendant. I bet a lot of you.

Happy Friday Babes! Okay, so I started the second episode of captive audience. We talked about it last week, but I did fall asleep. I was very tired that night, and the rest of the week just was working day and night. Didn't have time to catch up.

By next little leader, I will hopefully have watched all three episodes in its entirety. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, listen to last week's little leader.

You guys, I was reading some articles this morning, and I came across this insane story. I don't know if you guys have seen it yet, but back in 1988, September of 1988, this 11 year old girl from New Hampshire named Melissa Tremblay was murdered.

Her body was found alongside some train tracks. I think the day after she was murdered in Lawrence at the old Boston and Mayniard, which if you live there, maybe you know.

But the whole thing was terrible. She had been stabbed to death and then run over by a train, which I believe they determined happened after she had already passed, but horrific nonetheless.

Well, the case eventually went cold, but in 2014, the cold case was reopened, and over the past seven, eight years long story short, the authorities were somehow able to figure out who was responsible, and it turns out it was this guy named Marvin McClendon Jr.

who is a 74 year old retired police officer who was 41 years old, 33 years ago, when he killed Melissa. I was trying to figure out, was it like one of those 23 and me situations? How did they pin this guy? They haven't stated yet what evidence specifically was used to pin the retired officer to the moita, but he is now sitting on the other side of the bars.

Sweet, sweet justice, far too prolonged justice, but glad it happened so that the surviving family members who were notified of the arrest immediately could get some closure.

These cases are heartbreaking, of course, and none of it makes it easier. It's not going to bring her back, but it's nice to know that it eventually caught up with him.

Now, let's get into some emails.

The subject of this first one is Baby's Sitter's Son, was in a cult. Hey Spencer and Hot Dog, I've been listening to cult leader for a while and knew in the back of my mind that I had a story to share, but I couldn't remember the details.

A couple of months ago, I started cleaning out old bins of old childhood memories, and came across my Ramona and Beezis diaries.

Yes, I am a child of the 80s. Love it. Aside from New Year's resolutions at the ages of 6 and 7 that I needed to lose weight, hooray for narcissistic moms who put their issues on their kids. Oh god.

I was actually just, I saw, I think it was like a tweet or something where someone was talking about like why in the 90s was every mom going to the gym, drinking slim fast. That was like what they did.

But there was also yearly updates where I thought, I thought I was 7 but 16 inches tall and weight 58 pounds. Wow, and anomaly. I also found an entry about the cult related memory. I have attached a picture of that entry. Are you able to crack the code?

I looked at the picture, I'm like, oh geez, Odeak, I could not decipher that sucker. I am the oldest of four children and both of my parents worked. So we spent our days during the week with Baby's Sitters around the neighborhood I grew up in in Phoenix.

One of those Sitters was an older woman whose name I will keep private. Now to be fair, she may have not been super old but I was 9 at the time so even my 30 year old parents seemed old to me. Isn't that wild?

According to my diary, it was January 5th, 1990 and we were at her house. She was watching the news and saw her son on TV being led away in handcuffs and she started crying hysterically and called 911 because she was struggling to breathe.
