A very good Friday. What Friday isn't good? First things first. I have no idea I need to address this. I have no idea why, but people keep saying that they no longer see Cult Leader Instagram. It's at Cult Leader Podcast and if you go to the profile you can click on the little bell on the top right and it should let you turn on post notifications if you want that.

You might want to go into your settings because I know somewhat recently I think within the past six months Instagram put on a sensitive content control on accounts where they limit posts from accounts that might post sensitive content I guess and I'm assuming because Cult Leader, I don't know.

I think there's some blockage happening there so I don't know but it's still there still exist. The same thing actually has been happening on my regular account people are saying they don't see it either. Who knows? I don't know. I think it's probably because I don't post reels and Instagram is so thirsty to compete with TikTok and yeah I said it.

Oh well, anyway, I don't really care. What do I care about? Oh my god. Okay. Don't judge me. I watched the best worst movie the other week. Okay, so back in the 90s 90s was like 80s and 90s were prime made for TV movie era. That was like the best times of it. And in 1994 they made this movie based on Roseanne's life called Roseanne and Tom.

I found it. Me and my friend Chris we watched it and it was just everything. It was so corny. It was so crazy. And shockingly I was watching it and the receptionist in the movie was Heather DeBro from Real Housewives and I tweeted her and I said, Heather, is this you? And she said, Yop.

It was if you need something like very cheesy to watch watch that I think that's why I love lifetime movies and those types of movies because I mean a lot of times there is like suspense and moida and they can be kind of thrilling but they're also simultaneously so cheesy and just easy to watch. Love it. What else? Oh, I also wanted to I want to figure out. So some of my friends that have podcasts they have like phone numbers you can call in and leave voice.

And I'm trying to figure out how do I how to do that. I think like a regular phone cuts you off at a minute. Like should we try it? Like a cult leader hotline because I think it'd be fun because maybe we could take some of them and incorporate them in future little leaders. Just an idea. I'm an idea. Skye. Okay. I had a prophetic vision and just thought, hey, this might work. I'm going to try and figure out what they do. I'm like, do I just go buy another phone? You guys can call I'll do it. Whatever you want.

Lots of updates on cases that we've talked about. So Lori Valow who we covered in Doomsday day bells parts one through the fucking 20. We did so many of them.

Lori Valow we know last that she had been kind of trying to weasel out of her charges and none of it's a surprise. She was found not competent to proceed after a court ordered psychological evaluation last year.

But she has now been found mentally fit to stand trial up against the murder charges relating to tiley and JJ. So we'll see what happens there. I'm like, come on. Let's just throw her and chat away for good.

Goodbye. I'm interested to see I still want to know like is she going to try and pin it all on chat is Chad going to try and pin it on her. It's very interesting. I've been thinking about doing an update episode. If that's something you guys want.

I feel like there's enough now to where we could do like kind of a regrouping on the story as a whole with some of the updates. Let me know.

And perhaps even wilder news just days after I released Gone Girl IRL the episode about fraudster Sherry Papini.

News broke that she took a plea deal this week in which she agreed to plead guilty not only to fraud but also to lying to the FBI. She released a statement through her attorney that I wanted to read really quick.

It's short. Her attorney's name is William Portanova. And the statement said quote,

quote,

what do we think is do we think she's going to get put on probation or something or some bullshit sentence like that I still feel like that I think I said that in the episode nice I still feel like that actually got an email about that case after I put that episode out that said high spencer just ready to say that I was shook when I realized you didn't episode on Sherry Papini I live in red in California and I was 19 when Papini was supposedly abducted.

I remember everyone making a huge deal out of it posters covered the city and you couldn't go anywhere without someone bringing it up. As time went by after her release suspicion started to grow that she had faked the whole thing.

It's something that most people just kind of whispered about few people were bold enough to voice their suspicions publicly because the Papini family and their supporters were so quick to bash the character of those who questioned her story.
