Okay, we're live. Hi, this is William Ramsey. Welcome to William Ramsey Investigates on tonight show of a very special guest. His name is Dr. James Garberino, G-A-R-B-A-R-I-N-O. And he published a book in 2015. The title of that book is listening to killers. Lessons learned for my 20 years as a psychological expert witness in murder cases. But this book that he wrote in 2015 is one

of 26 books that he's written. Some of the titles, his best known book is Lost Boys, Why Our

Sons Turn Violent and How We Can Save Them, that was published in 1999. There's also an audio

book for that. But one of the more recent books is Miller's Children,

while giving teenage killers a second chance matters for all of us.

Also the positive psychology of personal transformation, leveraging resilience for life change

in 2011.

Can you talk, you have a very

lengthy background. Can you talk about your background and what led you to write this book

listening to Killers? Well, I came to developmental psychology as a graduate student after being a

classroom teacher and I was the low man on the totem pole.
