Let us begin with Netflix.

Netflix made a lot of people mad this past week.

They jacked up their prices and not buy a little.

By about 60% when you combine their online and their mail-order DVD business.

But I will say for all of the consumers that were unhappy about it, I think the studios were a little bit more pleased.

Yeah, well, let's start with the Netflix side.

Netflix doesn't want to send you DVDs anymore, and they're going to see to it that if you insist on having them, that you will pay. And I will say that for a consumer like me, they have done a good job. They have shifted me largely to streaming. And I would love to call up Netflix and tell them that I'll be happy just to stream and drop the DVD mailing part of my subscription. But you know what? There were so many consumers calling Netflix after this announcement that it was literally impossible to get through. It wasn't just about being on hold. They had a recording that hung up on you and said, try again later.
