wherein we discuss a mystery word or phrase with lexicographer Ben Zimmer.

Hey, Mikey. Hey, Bobby. How you doing, buddy? Splendid, thank you and your own self. I'm great. I'm great. Ben, how are you? And what is our clue? I'm doing just fine. And I've got an interesting clue for you. It's a bit cryptic, shall we say.

Wait, wait, wait, wait. We'll be the judges of that. Okay. We're looking for a two-word phrase.

And the first word is two letters. Second word is seven letters. But if you move the space between the words over a couple of letters, it becomes another two-word phrase, a phrase meaning, an old Peruvian laughs derisively.

So if you can figure out, it's a little more convoluted than our usual clues.
